Fall 2007 – A group of co-workers approach Family Services with a business plan to start up a new day program. They envisioned a holistic program which offers extensive programming to the individuals they serve. Participants would be given the opportunity to gain skills through work experience, facility based programming such as literacy, numeracy, computer applications as well as recreational activities and travel. People would have ample opportunity to choose and participate in the activities they were interested in, then they would have a chance to socialize both inside and outside of program through dances and other events which are inclusive of other programs.
Winter 2007 – A Board of Directors is formed, by-laws written, policies and procedures discussed and reams of papers submitted to various offices.
